Situated in Jacobs Pillow, a dance academy in the Massachusetts Berkshires, Nested Enclave, focuses on the development and emphasis on themes of nesting and transparency. Consisting of three primary elements, namely a theatre, an archive and a concrete nest. The theatre, sitting within the concrete nest, houses five transparent theatres that maintain moving wall systems that allow for the expansion and limitation of the theatre spaces. The tertiary element, the archive space, sits almost floating between the theatre and the concrete nest, weaving in and out of both programs.
